Privacy, Institutional Affiliation & Analytics

SourCa is engineered with privacy as a foundational principle. We believe technical candidate preparation should be focused, transparent, and completely free from invasive surveillance or public profiling.

Zero Individual Identity Exposure

We never publicly publish or disclose an individual user's name, email, specific college affiliation, or individual test scores. Your practice history remains private to your account.

Strict k-Anonymity (k ≥ 5)

College Insights only renders aggregate statistics when an institution has at least 5 active students. Cohorts with fewer than 5 members are strictly withheld to eliminate re-identification risk.

Voluntary Affiliation & Erasure

Selecting your college is entirely optional. You can skip it, change your college, or permanently delete your college affiliation at any time in Profile/Settings.

Full Guest Functionality

Guest users can browse and practice all 416 questions and 7 cognitive games without an account. Unauthenticated practice sessions are never written to permanent databases.

1. Information We Collect

When using SourCa, information collection is restricted solely to what is needed to deliver your preparation workspace:

Account Credentials: If you sign in via Google OAuth, we store your email, display name, and unique authentication identifier.
Practice Attempts & Submissions: For signed-in users, your coding submissions, execution runtimes, problem verdicts, and aptitude scores are saved to your private account for tracking progress.
Voluntary College Affiliation: You may voluntarily choose to specify your university or institute. This information is stored in your private profile and utilized exclusively for aggregate benchmark insights.

2. How College Information is Utilized

College selection serves two functions:

Tailoring suggested campus placement recruitment tracks and mock tests relevant to companies that visit your campus tier.
Computing aggregate, anonymized institutional benchmarks (such as average question coverage across cohorts), protected under strict k-anonymity rules (cohort ≥ 5).

We do not sell, rent, or trade student data, college affiliations, or assessment performance to third-party advertisers, recruiters, or data brokers.

3. User Count & Metrics Integrity

SourCa maintains strict honesty across all public metrics. We do not fabricate user numbers, fake testimonial counts, or artificially inflate platform statistics. All displayed counters reflect deduplicated, authentic student activity.

4. Managing & Deleting Your Data

You maintain complete control over your data. You can update or remove your college affiliation at any time by visiting Profile & Settings. Removing your college immediately purges your affiliation from all aggregate cohort calculations.
